## What It Is

Upload a photo and it is auto-cropped to the ICAO 9303 document-photo convention (head 70–80% of the frame) using the same face-detection engine behind Axon's Face Quality & Match tool, then resized to the print dimensions a chosen country requires. Every crop is automatically checked against OFIQ (ISO/IEC 29794-5) — the same quality standard real passport enrolment systems use — for an accept/review/reject verdict, not just a crop.

## Workflow

1. **Choose a photo** — upload a portrait, or try the built-in sample; a security check runs once, then processing starts automatically.
2. **Auto-crop** — the face is detected and framed to the ICAO convention; the crop box can be dragged or resized by hand afterwards, locked to the aspect ratio of the size selected.
3. **Pick a country** — South Africa, United Kingdom, Schengen/EU, Australia, United States, India, Nigeria, Canada and China are supported; the size requirement (e.g. 35×45 mm, 2×2 in) is applied automatically.
4. **Compliance check** — OFIQ grades the crop automatically on every scan (head size, margins, sharpness, lighting, background, expression neutrality, eyes open, mouth closed and more), with a plain-language accept/review/reject verdict and the specific reasons behind it.
5. **Download** — export the cropped photo at print resolution for the selected size.

## What It Does Not Replace

The size presets are common, widely cited reference dimensions, not a live feed from every issuing authority — background colour, print finish, head-covering rules and file requirements vary by country and change over time. This tool improves the odds of a compliant photo; it does not guarantee acceptance by any specific passport office or online application system.
